Rules and How to Submit Your Audition
Charlotte, MI, September 21, 2015– Do you want to perform on stage under the spots lights? Do you have what it takes to be the next big star? If so, this is your big chance!
The Charlotte Performing Arts Center is now accepting audition submissions to become
Charlotte’s Idol. The contest is open to any solo or small group vocal artists. The top 16 auditions will perform live onstage Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Charlotte Performing Arts Center. Those performers will vie for the vote of our judging panel and the audience to become Charlotte’s Idol. The winner will receive a paid contract to perform a 15 20 minute opening act on Dec. 19 for Three Men and a Tenor’s HaHaHolidays concert, a trophy and the title Charlotte’s Idol.
All artists who wish to audition need to submit a three to five minute audition video, audition
information form and technical information form to IdolCharlotte@gmail.com before 11pm on September 30. All audition forms and a complete list of rules may be found at www.charlotteperformingartscenter.com.
The top 16 acts will be notified and should plan to attend a technical rehearsal on Monday, Oct. 12 (audition times will be arranged when top 16 are contacted) and to perform in the finals onstage at the Charlotte Performing Arts Center on Friday, Oct. 16 beginning at 7:30pm. Finalists will receive two complimentary tickets each to the final performance and will be treated to a public reception and afterglow party following the show.
