New scholarships in place at OC

Olivet College has announced three new scholarship opportunities starting this semester: The Olivet College Talent Scholarship, Veterans Scholarship and Employee Family Scholarship.

The Olivet College Talent Scholarship is worth up to the full cost of tuition, fees, room and board and awards students involved in talent-based participation opportunities. The amount of the scholarship varies based on financial need. Talent Scholarships are available for: gospel choir, marching band, music (other than marching band), and non-NCAA DIII collegiate sports including boxing, cheer and bowling.

The Olivet College Veterans Scholarship is equal to 50 percent of tuition costs and is available to veterans with qualifying days of active duty service, active duty military and current members of the National Guard or any branch of the U.S. military reserve who qualify for VA benefits and/or military education assistance. Spouses and legal dependents who provide proof of eligibility qualify for the scholarship, as well.

The Olivet College Employee Family Scholarship extends beyond dependents to aid the grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, step-nieces and step-nephews of current Olivet College employees.
