Before Thanksgiving break, the Black Student Union (BSU) held a water drive for about two weeks and collected 3,200 bottles of water to send to those in need in Flint during the water crisis there, which has now gained nationwide attention.
The BSU is extending its drive until Service Day, March 30. With the help of the Olivet College community, BSU would like to collect as many cases of water, gallons of water, water filters, and even monetary donations as it can to deliver to Flint.
The group will choose two more locations, in addition to Dozier Memorial CME Church, to take the water for use.
To help with this drive or to donate, email BSU president, Sherri Bridges, at dbridges@olivetcollege.edu.
All donations should be in by 4 p.m. on March 29.
