The annual Abbie M. Copps Poetry Competition is now open to Olivet students.
Poetry may be submitted through Feb. 24 at https://duotrope.com/duosuma/submit/abbie-copps-poetry-competition-YrZS7?fbclid=IwAR1Su9PbWkAriCggk7RpHdtywLk2kpfAEPqLtcjCMHFQ5ddI7RLtQvs8UEI or by scanning the QR code on flyers found around campus.
This year's competition will be judged by Dennis Hinrichsen, former Lansing Poet Laureate.
Open exclusively to University of Olivet students, poets are invited to submit one poem for consideration. Three prizes will be awarded: $200, $100, and $100. Coleman prizes will be given to the top three poets.
Winners will be announced at a reading event featuring Hinrichsen alongside two other Michigan poets, Sarah Carson and Andrew Collard. The event will take place later in March.
