A candidate forum for those seeking city and school board office in Olivet will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19.
The event, coordinated through Olivet College, the schools and the city, will be held in the Olivet High School auditorium.
On the ballot is the mayor’s race, between incumbent Laura Barlond-Maas and Pamela Steward-Bess, as well as three city council seats, with three people running to fill them: James Frohm, Gary L. Peterson and Donald E. Walker.
The election is Tuesday, Nov. 2. Polling hours that day are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pre-election weekend hours are Saturday, Oct. 30, 8 a.m. to noon and Sunday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Polling location is Olivet City Hall, 117 S. Main St. Voters may register at any time up to 8 p.m. on Election Day at the appropriate city or township clerk’s office. Mailed voter registration information must be received or postmarked at least 15 days before the election.
