OLIVET- The Garfield Lake Review is releasing its 2024 edition of the book. The Garfield Lake Review is also known as the “GARF”. “The GARF is a literary journal that is run by students,” says Logan Schreiber, editor of the Garfield Lake Review. “We take submissions from all over the world and publish them for aspiring writers.”
This year’s theme for The Garfield Lake Review is Humanity. Meaning the GARF team looks at visual art, poetry, and stories about what it means to be a human being. “We looked for pieces of art that portrayed what it means to be a human being,” explains Schreiber, “Those pieces touch on emotions, responsibilities, and relationships.”
The launch party is Thursday, April 11. The launch party is at the New Story Community Books in Marshall, MI at 7 p.m.
If people are interested in getting a book, the team accepts cash and card payments. Also, if a person cannot get a book, then contact this year’s editor, Logan Schreiber. She will be able to get a book.
“The GARF team is so excited about this launch party,” says Dr. Elizabeth Trueblood, assistant professor of writing and advisor of The Garfield Lake Review. “The launch party will be held at the New Story Community Books in Marshall, MI which is a short drive from Olivet’s campus." The launch party is place to find people who love literature. There also will be an open mic at the end of the event.
