The Olivet College Volunteer Income Tax Preparation Program (VITA) is available to assist with income tax questions and filings.
This is an on-campus, free tax-prep service offered to the community by IRS trained and certified Olivet College students.
There are a number of ways to engage VITA services: Call 2-1-1-to see if a document drop off and counseling is available, at scheduled February through April dates; a do-it-yourself service through getyourrefund.org/micauw; or an online system at myfreetaxes.com.
VITA representatives advise, as a general rule, one should file income taxes regardless of income level. For information about VITA services contact:
Professor Jackie Looser, jlooser@olivetcollege.edu; or students Kylie Polhamus, kpolhamus@olivetcollege.edu
Mia Parker, mparker@olivetcollege.edu
Jeffrey Caldarona, jcaldarona@olivetcollege.edu or
Rachel Webb, rwebb@olivetcollege.edu.
The Accounting Student Organization in conjunction with the Capital Area United Way, make these VITA services available.
